Severe Thunderstorm Threat Through Sunday

The focus for an outbreak of strong thunderstorms that began on Saturdayover the southern United States will shift eastward overnight and on Sunday.Overnight, eastern Oklahoma through central Texas including Dallas-Fort Worthwill be at greatest risk of severe thunderstorms. Southeastern Texas in andabout Houston will also be prone to severe thunderstorms. Destructive winds andhail will threaten.

As the instigating low pressure rolls eastward, the clash of factors alongand eastward from the lower Mississippi Valley will spark a few severethunderstorms on Sunday over Tennessee, Mississippi and small stretches ofneighboring states. Severe weather threats on Sunday will stem from damagingwinds, large hail and even a few tornadoes.
