Strong thunderstorms could unleash damaging winds, hail and even a tornadoas they strike central and north-central Florida overnight.The threat area will span the heart of central Florida including Tampa andOrlando, and will also reach from Daytona Beach to as far south as Punta Gordaor Ft. Myers. Showers and thunderstorms will cross the threat area from thenorthwest to the southeast along with a cold front as it meets tropical warmthand elevated humidity.
The threat will fade on Sunday morning as the front weakens and its stormsdissipate.
