Severe Storm Potential for the East Coast

Strong thunderstorms will erupt overnight between southern Ohio and theFlorida Panhandle along a corridor spanning the western side of the southernAppalachians. Damaging winds and hail will be possible.On Monday, the area under threat of severe, local weather owing to strongthunderstorms will stretch from the Delmarva southward to northeastern Florida.

A few such thunderstorms may hit the area of Baltimore and Philadelphia. Hereagain, severe weather threats will stem from damaging winds and hail. Also, afew tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
