Highlights of the settlement
• Convene a one-day restorative justice conference within 18 months for victims of sexual abuse.
• Participate in restorative justice sessions for two years.
• Continue improving program to protect children.
• Continue to prohibit church employees and volunteers from being alone with unrelated minors (not including schools).
• No viewing of pornographic material on church property.
• No sharing of pornography, alcohol, tobacco or drugs with minors.
• Better background checks.
• Instruct staff to report suspected child sex abuse.
