Services for Mpls.St.Paul magazine editor Brian Anderson will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Basilica of St. Mary, 16th Street and Hennepin Avenue S., Minneapolis. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Anderson, 65, who died Tuesday at his Minneapolis home after an eight-month battle with mixed-phenotype acute leukemia, was editor of the magazine for 33 years, making him one of the nation's longest-serving city-magazine editors and dean of Twin Cities editors. The City and Regional Magazine Association recently gave him its 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award. He was named an Alumni of Distinction by the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts, was past president of the American Swedish Institute and was a writer and researcher for Sen. Walter Mondale.
