Twins update: The weather doesn't look promising on Monday or Tuesday, which could be a good thing for a Twins bullpen that had to pitch eight innings Sunday after starter Ricky Nolasco went down because of an ankle injury. … The Twins are 25-10 since April 22, which is the best winning percentage in the majors, and those 25 wins tie San Francisco for the most during that time. … Torii Hunter is batting .314 over his past nine games, with 11 RBI. … The last time Gibson pitched in Fenway was June 18, 2014, and he tossed seven shutout innings during a battle with Boston's John Lackey. The Twins lost 2-1 in 10 innings. … Twins GM Terry Ryan said there have been no discussions about trying a six-man rotation despite Tommy Milone pitching well at Class AAA Rochester and Ervin Santana a month from returning from his drug suspension.

Red Sox update: Boston might have played its worst game of the season Saturday in an 8-0 loss to Texas. There were three errors committed, among other misplays. Manager John Farrell then met with five veteran players before Sunday's game, but the Red Sox made three more errors and lost on a walk-off hit by Josh Hamilton. … David Ortiz was given two days off last week in an attempt to get him turned around. He contributed two hits Saturday and one Sunday, but he was still hitting just .154 over his previous 10 games. … The Red Sox signed Cuban outfielder Rusney Castillo to a $72.5 million contract but he's hitting .192 and looks like an athlete trying to play baseball.
