Sensabaugh teases Favre about next week's press conference

Dallas reporter baited the Cowboys safety nicely during today's locker room access period.

DALLAS -- Here's a little insight into how some people roll in this business.

On Wednesday in Minneapolis, Brett Favre was asked a series of questions about whether he would come back next season. Favre, who kind of has at least one more big game left this season, said he doesn't know what the future will hold. Favre also said this:

"Honestly, I see us sitting here next week having this press conference again. If that doesn't happen, to me, it will be a shock. So, I just haven't thought about what next year will be like or what will I be doing next week – will I consider this? Will we sit down and talk about the future?"

Favre had talked extensively about the strengths of the Cowboys, how hot they are and all the other blah, blah, blahs.

On Thursday in Big D, a Dallas TV reporter told Cowboys safety Gerald Sensabaugh, "[Favre] said he would be shocked if he's not doing another news conference next week after a win. What are your thoughts on that?"

Sensabaugh gobbled up the bait.

"He might do a news conference," Sensabaugh said. "But he might be on the losing end. But I don't know, they have their confidence. We have our confidence. I can't wait to play them."

Sensabaugh also asked reporters why they would expect Favre to retire.

"He's going to be in the Hall of Fame one day," he said. "His love for the game is crazy, so I can see why he keeps coming back. He's winning, so why wouldn't he keep coming back?"

. We'll find out later today if Marion Barber III practiced today. Someone at Valley Ranch told me that a firing squad couldn't keep Barber from playing at the dome on Sunday. That's how badly he wants to play despite a bothersome knee that limited him to just three carries for four yards in last week's win over the Eagles.

Barber hates doing interviews, and hates having reporters in the locker room. He was in the locker room twice during the access period, but refused to be interviewed. The only thing he said of note was, "No doubt" when asked if he thinks he'll play.

Oh, Marion also had something to say when the media access period ended. Raising his fists in the air, he shouted, "Yes! Yes! I can breathe. I can breathe." So if you're looking for anything more from the mouth of your hometown hero and ex-Gopher, you're outta luck.
