Grab the walking shoes and take part in this new free program for those 55 and up. Seniors are invited to engage in active social and learning opportunities on the first Tuesday of each month at the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. Stop at activity stations and meander through the lush greenery and warm confines of the conservatory. 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Jan. 2. Free. Midway Pkwy. and Kaufman Dr., St. Paul. 651-487-8200.

Assemble a rose topiary inside a fun and flirty container for that special someone.
