A semitrailer truck hit and tipped over a school bus on Tuesday morning in far northwestern Minnesota, and at least seven of the students on board and the bus driver suffered minor injuries, according to authorities.

The crash involving the Badger School District bus happened about 7:30 a.m. on westbound Hwy. 11, about 5 miles west of Roseau, the State Patrol said.

According to the patrol:

The bus was making a right turn from Hwy. 11 onto 340th Avenue, when the semi clipped the bus' left rear bumper. The bus tipped onto its left side.

The injured were treated at Roseau Hospital and released later in the morning.

The bus driver was identified as Timothy Berger, 61, of Badger. The truck driver was James M. Soucy, 75, of Fargo. Soucy was cited for failing to use due care.
