A woman on a Minnesota highway late at night was fatally struck by a semitrailer truck, authorities said.
The incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday along Hwy. 212 east of Hector Township, a Renville County community roughly 20 miles southwest of Hutchinson, the State Patrol said.
The woman was identified as Kara D. Dirtseller, 29, of Sisseton, S.D. The patrol has yet to detail why Dirtseller was in the eastbound lane of the highway.
The truck driver, Randy L. Roush, of New Auburn, Minn., was not hurt.
