Semi crashes into light-rail train in St. Paul

No one was injured when the semi hit the train.

A semitrailer truck struck a light-rail train in St. Paul on Monday night, briefly delaying rail riders during rush hour.

The truck took an "illegal" turn and hit an eastbound Green Line train near Raymond and University avenues around 6 p.m., according to a Metro Transit spokesperson. No one was injured.

The route was shut down briefly while the area was cleared.
