Supporters of Rep. Marty Seifert, the Republican gubneratorial candidate, passed the media area at the state Republican convention Friday, handing out quotations from Seifert.

"Please enjoy these Seifert-isms during today's convention," the flyer said.

The first quotation was aimed at an editorial "urging higher taxes" in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, which recently emerged from bankruptcy: "A bankrupt newspaper giving advice to a bankrupt state government is no solution to balance the budget."
