To chants of "Marty! Marty!", Rep. Marty Seifert bows out of the Republican gubernatorial race, and endorsed Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Delano, for the party's gubernatorial endorsement.

"Put your Emmer stickers on!" Seifert told the roaring crowd.

"I will retire from the Legislature," he said. "I want this [endorsement of Emmer] to be unanimous."

He added: "It has been an honor and privilege to serve all of you. . .I've had a wonderful time in public service and I want to campaign for Rep. Emmer to be our next governor."
