Seeds No. 2 thru 11 up for grabs in WCHA tonight

Confused about who will play who in the first round of the WCHA playoffs?

Here are a few tips:

Top six-seeded teams host

The pairings are 12 at 1, 11 at 2, 10 at 3, etc.

Only one pairing has been decided, Michigan Tech at North Dakota

All series are best-of-threes, starting Friday. Times at Mariucci are 7:07 p.m. each night.

Available three-game ticket packages for Gophers (at $63) will go on sale to public at noon Monday. Single-game tickets will be sold Wednesday. If the series only goes two games, price of tickets for third game will automatically be refunded.

Gophers will play either St. Cloud State, Wisconsin or Alaska Anchorage.

Here is how to figure out seeds No. 2 to 11 tonight, based on a WCHA release, as the scores come in (next time we will tackle the national debt):

Denver (35 points, vs St. Cloud State):
Seeded 2nd with a win.
Seeded 2nd with a tie and a Minnesota Duluth/Nebraska-Omaha tie.
Seeded 3rd with a tie and a Minnesota Duluth win or Nebraska Omaha win.
Seeded 3rd with a loss and a Minnesota Duluth win or Nebraska Omaha win.
Seeded 3rd with a loss by 4 or fewer goals and a Minnesota Duluth/Nebraska-Omaha tie.
