Starting Tuesday evening, the ramp from northbound I-35E to Cayuga Street will be open to all motorists. The ramp had been available to Metro Transit buses only.

The segment of Cayuga Street between Terrace Court and Westminster Street in St. Paul also will reopen, giving motorists a direct connection between Phalen Blvd. and I-35E, MnDOT said.

Lane restrictions and pedestrian access will remain in place on Cayuga Street as crews continue installing bridge railings, sidewalks and other amenities.

Cayuga Street between 35E and Westminster Street has been closed since spring of 2013 in conjunction with MnDOT's rebuilding of a new interchange and the MnPASS lane between Maryland Avenue and Little Canada Road.

The projects also calls for replacing the Cayuga Street, Pennsylvania Avenue and railroad bridges along I-35E.
