A woman injured in a house fire last week in north Minneapolis has died, authorities said.
The blaze struck the residence in the 2100 block of Emerson Avenue N. early Wednesday. Navia J. Walker, a 39-year-old resident of the home, was dead at the scene.
A 78-year-old woman in the home was hospitalized and died Sunday, according to Bryan Tyner, assistant fire chief. The woman's name has yet to be released.
The fire started on the first floor, while the two women were upstairs. Tyner said the blaze was under control in about an hour.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
