A man shot early Saturday morning in downtown Minneapolis last weekend had died.

Walter N. Haynes, 30, of St. Paul, was one of three people shot around 2 a.m. near 3rd Street and 1st Avenue N. in downtown Minneapolis, police said. He was shot multiple times and died Monday at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Two other adults were treated for noncritical injuries.

Officers interviewed witnesses at the shooting scene and are checking with business owners in the area to see if the shooting was captured on surveillance cameras. No arrests have been made.

Haynes' death was the second involving a shooting last weekend in downtown Minneapolis. Relatives said William Irvin, 35, of St. Paul, was killed after bar closing time Sunday.

Police said both victims were the intended targets.
