Searchers on Tuesday recovered the body of a fisherman whose boat was found abandoned on a lakeshore in western Minnesota.
A caller to 911 a few minutes before midnight Sunday alerted the Swift County Sheriff's Office that a fisherman's boat was on the shore of Lake Oliver, about 10 miles north of Appleton, Minn.
Ricky Longnecker, 60, of Appleton, was located shortly after noon Tuesday on the south side of the lake.
An investigation continues into why Longnecker became separated from his boat and what led to his death.
