Sean Spicer parodies his inflated inauguration crowd claims in surprise Emmys cameo

Everybody knew that the Emmys would get political this year, but most didn't expect an actual former political figure to make an appearance.

During Stephen Colbert's opening monologue, a surprise guest showed up on stage with his podium in tow.

Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was there to comment on the size of the Emmys audience compared to the size of Donald Trump's inauguration crowd.

And in typical Spicer fashion, he said it was great.

"That really soothes my fragile ego," Colbert responded. "I understand why you would want one of these guys around."
