Scott County offers MNsure classes to help with enrollment

March 1, 2014 at 7:55PM

As an important deadline for MNsure enrollment approaches, Scott County is offering a series of library sessions to help.

March 31 is the end of open enrollment. After that, those without insurance will face a fine under the Affordable Care Act. Those who miss that deadline will have to wait until next fall if they want to buy a plan.

Interpreters will be provided, but those interested must register in advance. The remaining sessions:

March 8, 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Shakopee library, 235 S. Lewis St., 952-233-9590 (Ext. 5)

March 13, 2-6 p.m. Prior Lake library, 16210 Eagle Creek Av., 952-447-3375.

March 22, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., New Prague library, 400 E. Main St., 952-758-2391

Enrollment through MNsure for Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare continues through the year.
