April 10, 2008 at 5:22AM

School board members in South Washington County Schools will get their first official look at proposed attendance boundary changes when they meet in a work session this evening. The school board is expected to decide on the proposals later this month.

Tonight's meeting, which begins at 6 p.m., is not open to public comment. However, residents will get a chance to comment on the boundary plans at four upcoming community meetings:

• Saturday, April 12, 9-11 a.m. at Lake Junior High in Woodbury.

• Tuesday, April 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Woodbury Junior High.

• Thursday, April 17, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Oltman Junior High in St. Paul Park.

• Monday, April 21, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Cottage Grove Junior High.

In addition, the most recent attendance boundary information is available on the district's website via www.startribune.com/a4249.

Proposals for K-8 grades are divided into red, white and blue options. Meanwhile, the task force looking at high school boundaries named those proposals A, B and C.

Also available on the school website is a form for individual comment to the School Board. The deadline for submission is April 21.

Tonight's school board meeting will be aired live on Cable Channel 15 and will be broadcast periodically until April 23.
