Alberto Monserrate will lead the Minneapolis school board in 2012, with Jenny Arneson serving as vice chair.
School board members unofficially selected their leaders 2012 during an organizational retreat Thursday at Nellie Stone Johnson Community School.
Monserrate, the current vice chair, will replace Jill Davis. Arneson, the current clerk, will move up to vice chair.
Richard Mammen will serve as clerk, replacing Arneson. Hussein Samatar will take over as treasurer, stepping in for Carla Bates.
Monserrate, Arneson, Mammen and Samatar announced their intent to assume the new roles, which will become official during their Jan. 10 board meeting.
