For its 2016 gala, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest, drew hundreds to the Depot in downtown Minneapolis. The event, which had the theme “The Greatest Gift Is Love,” included a cocktail hour, dinner and dancing as well as silent and live auctions. All proceeds help keep families together during a child’s serious illness. With two guesthouses and two family rooms in Twin Cities hospitals, the charity serves more than 4,500 families each year, offering lodging, meals, schooling and recreation facilities.
