More than 500 guests filled the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts to celebrate the grand opening of its $42 million concert hall. Guests donned crisp tuxedos and sparkling floor-length gowns for the cocktail reception, which spilled over into several levels of the Ordway's lobby. After a dinner, guests were treated to an inaugural performance in the 1,100-seat hall featuring members of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Schubert Club and the Minnesota Opera chorus and soloists. The evening concluded with an after-party boasting drinks, a dessert buffet and dancing.
