MicroGrants celebrated its 10th anniversary of giving to local grass-roots entrepreneurs with a party at the Minneapolis Club. More than 200 donors, volunteers and recipients gathered, including former St. Paul Mayor George Latimer, businessman Judson Dayton and former Minneapolis Police Chief Tony Bouza. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., addressed attendees by video. MicroGrant grants funds — in amounts of $1,000 to $2,000 — to low-income people of potential who are starting careers or businesses.
