How far is 6 kilometers? The easy answer is about 3.7 miles.

The more difficult one is the distance that millions of people — mostly women and children — have to walk to get clean drinking water.

That’s where the Global 6K for Water comes in.

Sponsored by World Vision, the walk/run is held around the globe to raise funds to provide clean water in the developing world.

In addition to digging wells and improving water infrastructure, World Vision works to help people by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
