Evening sunlight streamed through the tremendous pane windows of the Woman’s Club of Minneapolis, illuminating an event that was shining a light on a vast international problem.

The event was Local to Global: Building a World Without Genocide, a benefit celebrating human-rights advocates and emerging leaders working to combat the horrors of genocide around the world. Numerous genocide survivors were in attendance, along with former U.S. ambassadors to Morocco Sam and Sylvia Kaplan, featured guest speakers during the champagne and dessert gala.
