There are few spring traditions that have the flair of the Kentucky Derby. That’s why Canterbury Park in Shakopee kicked off its 2017 live racing season on Derby Day, with horse rides for the kids, mint juleps for the grown-ups and plenty of “The Run for the Roses” hats.
