Teams of four piled onto queen-sized mattresses and raced down an icy run at Burnsville's Buck Hill for the annual Bedrace for Bridging fundraiser. After competing in a single-elimination tournament, the costume-clad racers filed indoors for a concert. Nonprofit Bridging, the largest furniture bank in North America, donates gently used furnishings to people transitioning out of homelessness. The mattresses in the bedrace were carefully wrapped before their downhill runs — and donated to Bridging afterward.
