Holidazzle is no longer a parade — it’s a village. Two blocks of the Nicollet Mall (from 10th to 12th Streets) in downtown Minneapolis have been transformed to celebrate the season.

On a recent Saturday, visitors bundled up to listen to choirs and bands, view demonstrations of skills such as glass blowing and dog sledding and take pictures on one of the retired Holidazzle floats.

They also shopped the adjacent holiday market, with food, beverages, gifts and regular sightings of Santa.

The village is open through 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Admission is free, although there’s a one-time charge to enter the market. This weekend, you can skate on a pop-up rink sponsored by U.S. Bank.
