Scanlon resigns as Apple Valley's girls hockey coach

The only girls' hockey coach in school history is stepping down

Chuck Scanlon has resigned as the head girls' hockey coach at Apple Valley High School after 18 years in the position. Scanlan started as the girls' ringette coach in 1992 and took over as the girls' hockey coach in 1994. He coached the Eagles to state championships in 1995 and 1998. Scanlon will continue to coach the boys' soccer team, which has won eight Class 2A state championships, including 2009.
