SATURDAY

'Untitled 9'

The Soo Visual Arts Center can always be relied upon to showcase some of the Twin Cities' most innovative emerging visual artists, particularly in its annual juried show, "Untitled." Curated by Chris Larson, an internationally recognized artist and assistant professor at the University of Minnesota, the show will highlight 13 artists working in various media spanning painting, photography, collage and film, connected through their shared sense of dissection, manipulation and blurring of landscapes, bodily forms and architecture. From Jesse Draxler's stark, engaging collage work to the barren photo landscapes of Noel Worden, the exhibition offers a provocative cross-section of rising local artists. (Free opening reception 6-9 p.m. Sat. Through Dec. 30. Soo Visual Arts Center, 2638 Lyndale Av. S., Mpls. 612-871-2263 or www.soovac.org.)JAHNA PELOQUIN

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020.
