The Eastview girls' basketball team, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A, defeated Hastings 55-28 to re­main per­fect this sea­son and fin­ish at the top of this year's Holiday Hoops Classic at St. Olaf College.

Meg­an Walstad led Eastview with 17 points and 13 re­bounds. In the two pre­vi­ous tour­na­ment games, she had 15 points and 11 re­bounds against Hopkins and 18 points and nine rebounds against North­field.

The Lightning held Hastings to 21.4 percent shoot­ing. Krystal Carl­son led Has­tings with 12 points.

The Lightning beat Northfield 60-52 on Thursday and previously undefeated Hopkins, ranked No. 1 in this week's Class 4A poll, 66-56 on Friday.

Hopkins 74, Bea­ver Dam (Wis.) 71 (OT): Sophomore Kayhla Adams scored six of her 17 points in overtime for the Royals. Paige Bueckers had a game-high 23 points, along with seven as­sists and seven re­bounds, and Dlayla Chokolis had 17 points and 10 re­bounds for the Royals. Tara Stauffacher led the Bea­vers with 17 points.

Boys' basket­ball

Minnehaha Academy 53, Orono 50: Terry Lockett, who finished with a team-high 14 points, made a three-pointer with 1:15 left in the game to put the Redhawks ahead for good at the Granite City Classic at St. Cloud State. Spartans star Jarvis Thomas Omersa and Redhawks star Jalen Suggs traded free throws afterward. Colton Codute's last attempt to tie the score for the Spartans was blocked by Kaden Johnson. JaVonni Bickham had 12 points, nine rebounds and three assists for the Redhawks. Omersa finished with 20 points, 14 rebounds and two blocked shots.

Park Center 70, Wood­bury 57: In a match­up of top-10 teams in Class 4A, the No. 5 Pi­rates came out on top. Park Center closed out the first half with an 11-0 run to take a 35-29 lead. Sopho­more Dain Dainja scored 22 points for the Pi­rates and Tommy Chatman add­ed 15. D.J. Flem­ing had 24 points for No. 10 Wood­bury.

Boys' hock­ey

Duluth East 2, Blaine 2 (OT): Joe Daninger stopped 64 shots to give the Bengals a tie against the host Greyhounds. The Greyhounds outshot the Bengals 66-22 and had a shot advantage of better than 2-to-1 in each of the three periods. Blaine lost a pair of one-goal leads. Carsen Richels and Jack Reimann scored for the Bengals. Garret Worth scored two goals and Ryder Donovan had two assists for the Greyhounds.

Holy Family 3, Moorhead 2: Cole Wil­son scored the go-a­head goal for the Fire mid­way through the third pe­riod. The Spuds kicked off the scor­ing with I­saac Henkemeyer-Howe's goal in the se­cond. Holy Family got goals from Brady Ziem­er and Joe Han­kin­son to start the third pe­riod. Nolan West­ra tied the game for Moorhead be­fore Wil­son scored the game-win­ner. The Spuds out­shot Holy Family 32-27. The Fire won all three matchups in the Hock­ey for Life Classic, beat­ing Elk River 4-2 and Benilde-St. Mar­ga­ret's 3-2.

Pri­or Lake 2, Chaska 1: The Lak­ers came from behind to beat the Hawks. After Shane Lavelle scored for Chaska in the clos­ing min­utes of the first pe­riod, the Lakers tied the game in the se­cond on Pres­ton Under­hill's goal. Laz­a­rus Kaebel scored the game win­ning goal mid­way through the third pe­riod with as­sists from Jack­son Jut­ting and Colin Tushie.

South St. Paul 4, Woodbury 0: Jacob Toensing stopped 16 shots to shut out the Royals in the championship game of the South St. Paul Premier Tournament at Doug Woog Arena. Brandon Reynolds scored two goals, Cam Kluender had a goal and an assist and Nathan Brandecker scored a goal for the Packers.

And­over 4, Rog­ers 3: Mad­i­son Clough led the No. 6-2A Huskies with two goals. Jos­lin Mumm se­cured the win with a goal mid­way through the third pe­riod to give And­over a 4-2 lead. Sa­man­tha Scherling had a goal and an as­sist for the Royals. The Huskies out­shot Rog­ers 30-21.

Min­ne­ha­ha Unit­ed 6, Rosemount 4: The Irish led mid­way through the se­cond pe­riod be­fore Min­ne­ha­ha Unit­ed went on a 5-1 run to fin­ish the game. Jo­die Clay led the scor­ing out­burst with a goal and four as­sists. Mad­die Duca and Lily Mul­li­nix both had two goals for Min­ne­ha­ha Unit­ed. Ava Nygaard scored two goals for the Irish.

St. Fran­cis/North Branch 2, Iron­dale 1 (OT): Kylie Wolfe clinched the game for St. Fran­cis/North Branch with a goal less than three min­utes into o­ver­time. So­phi­a Zebro as­sist­ed on the goal. Emma Fagerlee kicked off the scor­ing with her first-pe­riod goal for the Knights. Holly Anderson tied the game in the se­cond.
