Minnetonka 67, Forest Lake 64: The Skippers overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to defeat the Rangers at the Breakdown Tip Off Classic. A Lexie Hultman three-pointer pulled the Rangers within two points late, but Katey Brattland made a free throw to seal the victory.
Minnehaha Academy 65, Roseau 52: Taytum Rhoades scored 14 of her 23 points in the second half, helping the Redhawks rally from a three-point halftime deficit against the Rams at the Breakdown Tip Off Classic.
Boys' basketball
Cretin-Derham Hall 86, Hopkins 73: Sy Chatman posted a career-high 33 points to carry the Class 4A, No. 2 Raiders past Class 4A, No. 4 Hopkins in the Breakdown Tip Off Classic. The Raiders ran out to a 21-5 lead early, then sank seven of nine free throws in the final four minutes. Gophers recruit Daniel Oturu, the Raiders' 6-9 center, left in the first half with a sprained ankle. The Cretin-Derham Hall coaching staff said he will be examined further Sunday. He scored points.
St. Louis Park 69, St. Cloud Apollo 68: The Orioles scored 11 consecutive points late in the game to defeat the visiting Eagles. The Eagles led 65-58 with 3:21 left, but the Orioles chipped away until Cire Mayfield made a floater in the lane and a pair of baskets for a four-point lead with 5.1 seconds left. Mayfield finished with 17 points.
Holy Family 71, Breck 64: The Fire overcame a four-point deficit at halftime to defeat the visiting Mustangs. Nathan Hendler led the Fire with 20 points.
Boys' hockey
Eastview 5, Hill-Murray 1: Ben Beattie stopped 41 shots to help the Lightning earn a victory over the visiting Class 2A, No. 9 Pioneers.
Holy Family 3, Orono 3 (OT): Zach Simon scored the second of his two goals with a little more than five seconds left in the third period to force overtime for the host Spartans.
Girls' hockey
St. Paul Blades 5, Rochester Century 3: Gigi Gabrielli recorded a hat trick and had an assist and Taylor Nelson stopped 41 shots to lead the Blades past the visiting Panthers.
Eagan 6, Rochester Lourdes 4: The Wildcats held off a third-period rally by the host Eagles. Bella Weaver scored two goals 1:40 apart in the first period with Julia Barger scoring in between to give the Wildcats a 3-0 lead in the first period.
Benilde-St. Margaret's 1, Orono 0: Maya Jones scored in the first period and Carly Greene stopped 22 shots to make it hold up for the host Knights. Benilde-St. Margaret's had a 15-5 shot advantage in the first period, but the Class 1A, No. 15 Spartans had the advantage in the second and third periods.
