Tanner Laderoute got UMD within a goal midway through the first, but Adam Scheel stopped 28 other shots for North Dakota.

No. 1 St. Cloud State 2, Miami (Ohio) 2 (2OT): Josh Melnick scored at 3:35 of the 3-on-3 second overtime to give the host RedHawks the extra point in the conference standings; SCSU won a shootout Friday on Blake Lizotte's goal for the extra point. Lizotte and Easton Brodzinski had goals in regulation the second game.

No. 4 MSU Mankato 3, No. 20 Lake Superior State 0: Charlie Gerard gave the visiting Mavericks a 1-0 lead on a power-play goal in the opening period, and that was the winner; Dryden McKay had 23 saves for the shutout. Parker Tuomie scored MSU Mankato's second goal early in the middle period.

Michigan Tech 7, Bemidji State 2: Dylan Steman and Alex Smith each scored twice as the Huskies routed the Beavers in Houghton, Mich. Nick Cardelli and Owen Sillinger scored for Bemidji State.

Wisconsin 8, No. 6 Penn State 5: Will Johnson had two goals and an assist as the host Badgers upset the Nittany Lions.

Michigan State 1, No. 14 Michigan 1 (2OT): The instate rivals each scored a power-play goal in regulation. The Spartans won the shootout on Brennan Sanford's goal in the fourth round.

No. 8 Notre Dame 3, Rensselaer 0: Cam Morrison had a goal and an assist and Dylan St. Cyr stopped 33 shots as the host Irish beat RPI.
