• OHIO STATE 7, PENN STATE 4: The Buckeyes beat the host Nittany Lions (19-9-4, 9-6-1 Big Ten), who could have tied Michigan for second place in the conference with a win. Kevin Kerr's goal early in the final period put No. 15 Penn State ahead 4-3, but Matt Weis and John Wiitala scored 42 seconds apart in the sixth minute for Ohio State (9-17-2, 4-8-2).

• MICHIGAN STATE 3, WISCONSIN 1: Mackenzie MacEachern scored two goals as the Spartans (9-20-3, 5-10-1) beat the host Badgers (6-15-7, 1-10-3).

• NORTH DAKOTA 2, MINNESOTA DULUTH 1: Brock Boeser's goal at 14:39 of the third period for the No. 4 Fighting Hawks (24-5-3, 15-4-1-1 NCHC) broke a tie with the visiting UMD (11-14-5, 7-10-3-1).

• ST. CLOUD STATE 6, OMAHA 3: Blake Winiecki scored two goals as the No. 3 Huskies (25-6-1, 15-4-1-1 NCHC) swept the No. 12 Mavericks (18-11-1, 8-11-1) in Omaha.

• MICHIGAN TECH 9, BEMIDJI STATE 2: Joel L'Esperance had a goal and three assists as the Huskies (17-8-5, 14-7-3 WCHA) routed the Beavers (14-13-5, 9-11-4).
