NO. 10 CLEMSON AT NO. 4 FLORIDA STATE

7 p.m. on Ch. 5

Records: Both teams 3-0

The skinny: Quite likely, the Atlantic Division title in the Atlantic Coast Conference is at stake, as it appears Florida State and defending conference king Clemson are the two powers. Both teams are explosive on offense and Florida State features the nation's top defensive team, one that smothered Wake Forest 52-0 last week. The Demon Deacons managed only 126 total yards while punting 13 times. Clemson comes in averaging nearly 40 points per game this season, but the Tigers defense has been suspect.

The stat: Clemson was also ranked 10th and the Seminoles fourth when they met in Tallahassee in 2000. Florida State won 54-7.

Line: Florida State by 14 1/2

TEXAS-EL PASO AT WISCONSIN

11 a.m. on ESPN2

Records: UTEP 1-2, Wisconsin 2-1

The skinny: With one more game before Big Ten play begins, the Badgers will try to get their sputtering offense going, with redshirt freshman Joel Stave starting at quarterback over transfer Danny O'Brien. Mike Price-coached UTEP opened with a 24-7 loss to Oklahoma and followed that with a 28-10 loss at Mississippi.

The stat: Wisconsin ranks 94th in the FBS in rushing offense. Last year, the Badgers were 11th.

Line: Wisconsin by 17 1/2

OREGON STATE AT NO. 19 UCLA

2:30 p.m. on ESPN2

Records: Oregon State 1-0, UCLA 3-0

The skinny: After a perfect nonconference run led to UCLA's first national ranking in four years, the Bruins look to get Pac-12 play off to a strong start under rookie coach Jim Mora. Oregon State hasn't played since knocking off Wisconsin on Sept. 8 and is playing only its second game of the year after its opener against Nicholls State was postponed.

The stat: UCLA has yielded only 282 yards and 12 points in the second halves of its first three games.

Line: UCLA by 7 1/2

NO. 2 LOUISIANA STATE AT AUBURN

6 p.m. on ESPN

Records: LSU 3-0, Auburn 1-2

The skinny: Less than two years removed from a national title, Auburn and coach Gene Chizik could silence many of their critics by pulling off a big upset after a disappointing start. LSU can stay on track for a third consecutive No. 1-vs.-No. 2 matchup vs. Alabama by winning its Southeastern Conference opener.

The stat: LSU averages an SEC-high 269.3 rushing yards, while Auburn averages giving up a league-worst 217 rushing yards.

Line: LSU by 20 1/2

No. 22 ARIZONA AT No. 3 OREGON

9:30 p.m. on ESPN

Records: Both teams 3-0

The skinny: Oregon has a six-game winning streak dating to last season, and Arizona has a five-game winning streak as the teams open Pacific-12 play. The offenses for both teams take center stage here. New Wildcats coach Rich Rodriguez was one of the first pioneers of the up-tempo, no-huddle spread offense, while Oregon's Chip Kelly perfected the Ducks' so-called "blur" offense.

The stat: The Ducks are among five FBS teams without a field goal this season.

Line: Oregon by 22 1/2
