Santana: The next fallen hero

Mets pitcher Johan Santana may have had a non-baseball matter on his mind this weekend when pitching against his old team, the Twins -- now that he has been exposed as an unfaithful husband.

Last week, TMZ.com and Thesmokinggun.com unearthed an October sheriff's report from Lee County in Florida with the details of an icky situation Santana got himself into on a golf course with a woman who cried rape.

Parents be forewarned: The details at these links -- tinyurl.com/33fp9uv and tinyurl.com/2vwe6xn -- are rather graphic.

"Law enforcement sources say DNA evidence did prove there was intercourse, but, according to a sheriff's document, the prosecutor concluded, 'There was not enough evidence to prove lack of consent, [and] the alleged victim's statement is not consistent with other witnesses,'" TMZ reported. The case was closed on Dec. 8, according to TMZ.

The Smoking Gun wrote: "Santana, who is married with three children, and the alleged victim both live in a gated community in Fort Myers, and first met ten days before their Oct. 27 sexual encounter..."

TMZ's account includes video of Santana addressing the allegations in a lockerroom. Santana said he could not talk about it, but he did not deny the unsavory incident.

When reached Friday for comment, Santana's agent, Chris Leible, said, "Johan addressed it after it came out on the Web." Asked whether Santana told his NY agent of this off-season, off-field image problem, Leible said, "I'm not going to get into it."

And how's Johan's marriage? "I'm not going to get into any of that," Leible said.

Fox 9's mom-to-be Only someone in Hollywood might consider crippling a baby with the name Real Early Morning Buzz.

"Fox 9 Morning News at 4:30" anchor Dawn Stevens is not somebody from Hollywood, so she's not considering any unusual names for the baby she and her husband are expecting in November. "I already have the name, but I don't want to share it yet," Stevens said.

"I'm happy to sit next to [anchor] Tom Butler, an experienced father of two, and share my pregnancy highlights. I keep the lowlights to myself," Stevens said of her pregnancy.

A couple of weeks ago, I started a conversation with Stevens by saying that "Buzz," as in "The Fox 9 Morning Buzz," might make a great name if she had to name somebody. "How'd you know I was pregnant?" she asked in mock defensiveness.

Well, after weeks of watching Stevens standing on camera with her script in front of her stomach, I really started paying attention. Stevens behaves as though she doesn't work with professionally trained observers.

Between Stevens' early morning schedule and caffeine not being good for breast milk (unless you want a cranky, wired baby), she's in for some fuuunnn 4:30s. And she's excited about that. Congrats.

That's President PAWLENTY! Comedian Jay Mohr was on ABC's "The View" predicting the winner of the 2012 presidential election.

"The next president of the United States is going to be a Republican, the governor from Minnesota," said Mohr, who then, in typical doltishness, added, "I don't know his name, that guy."

If Mohr can't remember Gov. Tim Pawlenty's name, there's no chance this Mohron is going to recall the name of the Minnesota grandmother who verbally smacked him down for being so raunchy at a 2005 benie: Sunny Wicka.

Wicka's take-down of Mohr was one of the best column items ever, and the NY Post liked it well enough to steal it!
