The future stars of baseball were just introduced as we are moments away from first pitch at CitiField for the annual All-Star Futures Games.

Byron Buxton is not in the starting lineup. Billy Hamilton is in center fielder and is leading off. Indications are that Hamilton got the nod because this is his second Futures Game and Buxton is the newbie.

Miguel Sano, however, is batting cleanup for the World Team. He did park a few balls into the seats during batting practice.

Check back here for updates when Sano bats and when Buxton enters the game.

FIRST INNING: Sano at the plate, gets ahead 2-0, takes two strikes then takes ball three. But teammate thrown out at second on a steal attempt. Sano gets another at-bat next inning.

SECOND INNING: USA changes pitchers, and Taijuan Walker gets Sano to ground out hard to short. No balls hit to Sano at third yet. Buxton not in game yet.

SIXTH INNING: Sano 1-for-3 with a walk and hit by pitch. Buxton entered the game in the fifth as struck out in his first at bat.
