Sandoval benched for 'liking' pics of woman during game

Well that is most certainly a headline I never envisioned writing, but here we are. Pablo Sandoval's Instagram account showed something peculiar last night: that he had "liked" two rather suggestive photos of a nice young lady in Atlanta at a point in time when the Red Sox were also in the middle of a road game against the Braves. Those kinds of things tend to get noticed, as this did:

It must have been someone else running his account, right?

Nope. It was him. Per a tweet from Boston Herald reporter Jason Mastrodonato: "Pablo Sandoval admitted it was him on Instagram last night. Was going to the bathroom in the 7th and grabbed his phone on the way there."

Sandoval is not in the lineup for the Red Sox today and told reporters, "I let my teammates down. It ain't going to happen again. I'll take the punishment."

He did go 2-for-4 in the game, but Boston lost. At the time of his social media use, the Red Sox were trailing 4-0.
