Minnesota United FC's 13-match unbeaten streak at home came to an end Saturday.

San Antonio edged the Loons 1-0 on Cesar Elizondo's goal in the 61st minute before an announced crowd of 6,454 at the National Sports Center in Blaine.

United (10-3-4) had won the past four matches with the Scorpions, including 2-0 on the road Sept. 20. A victory or a draw in this game could have given the Loons a fall season title to go with their spring crown. Instead, San Antonio (10-5-2) closed the gap in the standings to two points, 34 to 32.

Both the Scorpions and the Loons have with one regular-season game left.

The Scorpions have lost only twice on the road in the fall season. United, on the other hand, is on a more disturbing trend,. The Loons have been shut out in three of its past four matches.

"We certainly should have created more chances than we did at home," United coach Manny Lagos said.

Shortly before Elizondo's goal, United's Aaron Pitchkolan nearly put a header into the Scorpion's net.
