Saints lose to Sioux City, dropping fourth in a row

The St. Paul Saints left the bases loaded in the eighth inning and dropped their season-high fourth consecutive game, losing to Sioux City 4-3 on the road Monday.

Trailing 4-2, the Saints loaded the bases with one out. Brent Krause singled to center and with one out, Jason Cooper and Flint Wipke walked. Gerard Haran was hit by a pitch that forced in a run to make it 4-3, but Josh Alley then grounded into an inning-ending double play.

Minnesota Stars play St. Louis tonight The Minnesota Stars will play fellow USSF Division 2 Pro League side AC St. Louis at the National Sports Center in Blaine on Tuesday night. On the line is a third-round match with the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. If the Stars win, they'll host the 2009 MLS Cup finalists June 29.
