Ryder Cup race

With 2016's four major championships now completed, and only four weeks remaining in the U.S. Ryder points race, now's a good time to look at who might be coming to Hazeltine National at the end of September. If the event began today, these would be the eight U.S. automatic qualifiers to go with four captain's picks:

Player (rank before PGA)

1. Dustin Johnson (1)

2. Jordan Spieth (2)

3. Phil Mickelson (3)

4. Jimmy Walker (29)

5. Brooks Koepka (9)

6. Zach Johnson (4)

7. J.B. Holmes (5)

8. Brandt Snedeker (6)

First five out: Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler and Scott Piercy
