Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, who announced last month that he would seek reelection, is kicking off his campaign this weekend.

Rybak starts his pursuit for a third term at the Riverview Theater, 3800 42nd Av. S., at 9:15 a.m. Saturday.

"I am running for re-election as mayor because I believe I have shown how to bring this city together around bold visions, and make them happen," the mayor says in a quote atop his campaign website www.rtrybak.com.

Bob Miller, who directs the Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program, has mounted the most visible campaign against Rybak so far this year. His website is bobmillerforminneapolis.org.
