To get some respect back from a nation that regarded them as spendthrift idiots who paid $32K for a ration of Snooki, some students have decided to bring in a Wise Elder to teach them about life 'n' stuff: the Boss.

Offensive? Good choice of words, given the audience; anything like "stupid" or "moronic" is judgmental, and hence a no-no, but "offensive" always freezes your opponents in their tracks. If someone's offended, then the offensive thing is doubleplus ungood.

Springsteen's an American icon, but it says something about college life that he's held up as the polar opposite of Snooki.
