What could be better than $2.50 hand-made tacos? Well, $2.50 tacos and a margarita, obviously. That's how I would sum up the second Twin Cities location of Rusty Taco, which is opening with a full liquor license in northeast Minneapolis on Monday, July 16 (at 11 a.m.). The second outpost of the popular St. Paul taco spot (which only has beer and wine) was scheduled to open Friday, but delays have pushed it back a few days.

This Minneapolis Rusty Taco is located next to the old Wilde Roast CafΓ©, on E. Hennepin (in the space formerly occupied by Look + See Eye Care). While the menu will be the same (cheap tacos made with quality ingredients), the full liquor license has Rusty fans excited. But manager Pam Ringgenberg said "it's not our intention to be another bar." This Rusty will stick mainly to margaritas, beer and some specialty tequila. Since there's no bar, you'll order your booze at the counter. The star of the menu will be the "Rusty Margarita" (tequila, fresh lime juice, triple sec, simple syrup). They'll have four taps, including one dedicated to Fulton, plus a bottle list and 24-oz cans of Dos Equis and Tecate.

Look for updates on the new location on its Facebook page.
