For a while, anyway.
We hope England's freshly-coined Royal couple has a great time in California; they seem like nice people. Kate especially. She's pretty good at the mixing-with-commoners stuff. Anyway, the appearance of the William and Kate in California has suddenly made the police serious about reining in paparazzi. That's what it takes, it seems.
California jails are overcrowded, so there's no way anyone would serve half a year for aggressive driving. A $2500 fine? Eh: the employer will eat it. But at least the cops sound serious about enforcing it:
First of all, if the old laws weren't enforced, why pass new ones? Sorry - forgot, it's California. Everything needs to be regulated from three different directions, just in case. Second: it's just perfect that LAPD has a Sergeant Mitzi.
