SILVERSTONE, England — Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg was fastest in the final practice at the British Grand Prix on Saturday, followed by teammate Lewis Hamilton.

In drier conditions at Silverstone, Rosberg followed up a fastest lap on Friday by beating Hamilton by 0.146 seconds and continued the strong form that saw the 28-year-old German win at Monaco.

Three-time defending champion Sebastian Vettel clocked the third fastest lap, followed by his Red Bull teammate Mark Webber, who has won twice in the past three years here.

Several drivers struggled with the track, including McLaren's Sergio Perez. His left rear tire blew out early in the session, resulting in a red flag as crews cleaned up the debris. Perez went out later and spun.

Qualifying takes place later Saturday.
