Rookie Stefon Diggs is quickly making a case that he's the Vikings' top receiving threat. He made seven catches for a game-high 129 yards in the Vikings' 16-10 victory over Kansas City on Sunday to lead the team in reception yards for the second consecutive game.

Diggs averaged 18.4 yards per catch with a long of 31. In his first NFL game two weeks ago at Denver, he had six receptions for 87 yards, also a team-high, for an average of 14.5 yards per catch.

Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater targeted Diggs on his first pass of the game and the two connected for a 16-yard gain. On the Vikings' second drive, Bridgewater found Diggs for gains of 31 and 14 yards while driving towards a field goal and early 3-0 lead.

Diggs was 4-for-4 with 81 yards after one quarter.

"It's the most fun I've had in a while," Diggs said while swarmed by media in the locker room. "I'm just trying to work hard and I'm mad at a couple things I won't bring up."

He would eventually elaborate on his comment, saying he was disappointed he didn't get more yards after one of his catches.

It'd be hard to ask for more from the rookie. He outdid his impressive debut with a 100-plus receiving yards to become the fourth quickest in team history to achieve this feat. Diggs' 216 total yards over two games are the second-most in team history and his 81 yards in the first quarter ranks third in the Vikings' record books.

Diggs wasn't the only rookie to have a big game. Linebacker Eric Kendricks had 10 tackles in his first game managing the full-time role, defensive end Danielle Hunter forced a fumble late in the game, and Trae Waynes had three tackles while rotating in at cornerback.

"It's a lot of young guys making plays," Diggs said. "You can't ask for nothing more. Especially, Kendricks … You just get so excited seeing people do well."
