ELKHART LAKE, Wis. — Rookie Brendon Hartley teamed with Scott Mayer for their first Grand-Am Rolex Series victories Saturday, winning at Road America in Starworks Motorsport's No. 8 BMW/Riley.

The 23-year-old Hartley, from New Zealand, took the Daytona Prototype lead by staying out on track during the last caution, then pulling away on the restart. Hartley beat Joao Barbosa by 4.290 seconds.

Barbosa teamed with Christian Fittipaldi in the No. 5 Corvette DP.

In the GT class, Bill Auberlen won a battle with Patrick Long to join Paul Dalla Lana in winning in the No. 94 Turner Motorsport BMW M3, their third victory of the season. For Auberlen, it was his 27th class victory in the Rolex Series, tying Memo Rojas for second in the class win category.

Joel Miller raced to his fourth GX victory in the No. 00 Visit Florida Racing/SpeedSource Mazda 6, teaming with three-time winner Tristan Nunez.
